the decision to move is sometimes brought on by a crisis-illness, bereavement, caregiver fatigue. Once in senior housing, issues still come up if dementia is identified, or progresses, if family guilt or denial disrupts adjustment. it is a leap of faith to sometimes to trust the senior community staff, and talking talking talking to your family and professional caregivers is the primary way to survive the transition. Information and support can help so much.
